Hotel Biskupsky Dum - The Bishop's House - is located about 60 meters from the end of Charles Bridge in Prague's historic Lesser Town, on the Vltava river's left bank. It's history dates back far beyond Prague's own beginnings in the 9th century, but more on that later.

The appearance of the house, today named according to its historical origins, emanates from 1843, when reconstruction of the 16th century semblance was finished after six years of work. Present archeological research, however, confirmed evidence of a settlement in this location dating back to the Neolithic Era.

The hotel is located in the center of the Prague Municipal Historical Conservation area, under the Prague Castle. It lies halfway between Lesser Town Square and the end of Charles bridge. Complete reconstruction of the building was finished in 1999. Behind the Empire facade, guests will find both comfort and genuine remnants of the past.

Both Hotel Biskupsky Dum and Hotel Biskupsky Dum II buildings (a sister hotel) are located on Drazickeho namesti, directly facing each other at a twenty five pace distance. They offer pleasant accommodations in a romantic environment within the historical center of Prague.
