Details Hotel U Tří Pstrosů/At the Three Ostriches

|
Hotel U Tří Pstrosů (At the Three Ostriches) is right at the end of Charles Bridge, in the historic Lesser Town district of Prague. Charles Bridge, one of the jewels of Prague's Gothic architecture, was started in 1357 under the auspices of Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. The bridge is just one of many historically significant monuments you'll find in the direct vicinity of Hotel U Tri Pstrosu.
For centuries the hotel has had a variety of owners, but has never varied from its intended purpose. It's been and to this day remains a hospitable haven for everyone who pays a visit. The hotel's present day lavishness was unexpectedly discovered during extensive reconstruction in 1938, when precious frescoes and a total of nine colored Renaissance wooden ceilings were uncovered. Today you'll find the hotel cozy and modern, yet obviously well-steeped in its history. It is undoubtedly situated in one of the most historically significant areas in all of Prague.
